First Run in bare foots this year. Glad I did though because a lot of thee trail was covered in running water.

When we got to the other side of this trail it suggested we not go this way because the rails were missing.

Look at that view. The lake looks nice too.

ICEBREAKER 2011

I ran the Icebreaker 5-mile with Brian at the beginning of April. People in Great Falls aren't as psyched about my shorts as they were in Missoula. 

Unfortunately, above is the only photo I have.

It was a lovely, snowy run.

First Grizzly man adventure race went well. We didn't get as many checkpoints as we would have liked but we had a lot of fun and learned a lot of things for next year. Took us 10.5-11 hrs to finish. We figured we covered over 30 miles. My new Saucany shoes are toast but they weren't designed for terrain like this either. The new packs were champs. They held everything required for the race and plenty of food and water to last us 11 hours with no problems. The inflatable pack was perfect and kept the load very stable. We really couldn't have asked for better weather we only got really too cold once. The water portion was nice and was actually a nice cool down.
